Chris Keen, age 81, of Gallatin, TN, formerly of Westmoreland, passed away on the morning of September 27, 2022, in Nashville, TN.
Mr. Keen served his state and community as a Kentucky State Policeman for many years, dedicating his time and energy to law enforcement and Counter Narcotics. He was a devoted husband, loving father as well as a caring and compassionate grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin and friend. Chris was an avid fisherman who loved the beauty and solitude of the open waters, and the many relationships that were forged on them. He also possessed an intense passion for hunting, beekeeping and woodworking of all kinds.
Chris is survived by wife, Teresa Keen; daughters, Ashley (Brandon) Weaver and Whitney (Joshua) Gilreath; grandchildren, Whitney (Jamie) Matthews, Tucker (Kayla) Keen, Declan Gilreath, J. B. Weaver, Rowan Weaver and Sawyer Gilreath; brother, Mike (Rachel) Keen; and daughter-in-law, Vickie Keen McLaughlin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Keen and Clyde Keen; his son, Christopher Anthony Keen, II; and sister, Betty Holmes Bell.
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Chris Keen will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Woodard Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 PM until service time at 2:00.
