David Patrick Alvis, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a cherished member of the community, passed away on October 4, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on August 2, 1946, in the city of Indianapolis, Indiana, he lived a life marked by love, service, and an unwavering commitment to his family.

David's legacy is one of profound affection; he loved his wife, Donna, dearly, and his devotion extended immeasurably to his children and grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart. His nurturing spirit and compassionate nature left an indelible mark on the lives he touched.

A proud veteran, David dedicated a significant chapter of his life to serving his country. His service was distinguished by honors, including the National Defense Service Medal, the Purple Heart, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal 1st. These accolades serve as a testament to his bravery and commitment during a tumultuous time in history.

David will be lovingly remembered during his Inurnment service, scheduled for January 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center, located in Hendersonville, TN. Following the Inurnment, a Celebration of Life will be held at VFW Post 9851, starting at 3:00 PM, where all are welcomed to honor his enduring legacy and the profound impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him.
