Donald Frank Dorris
Donald Frank Dorris, age 90, of Chesterfield, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022. He was born in Westmoreland, Tennessee, on May 30, 1932, to his parents Charlie and Nova Dorris.
As a young man, Mr. Dorris served the Army in the United States Military. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, and the Korean Service Medal.
Later in his life, he married his wife, Gloria (Alvear) Dorris, and raised four children.

Frank is survived by his loving children, David Dorris, Dale Dorris (JoAnne), Susan Carminucci (David), and Douglas Dorris (Christine); ten grandchildren, Nicole, Matthew, Christian, Alexandria, Justin, Sam, Benjamin, Devin, Jake, and William; and his sister, Diane McMurtry.

Mr. Dorris was preceded in death by his father, Charles Dorris; mother, Nova (Gammons) Dorris; wife of 61 years, Gloria (Alvear) Dorris; brothers, Davis Dorris, Gene Dorris, Bill Dorris; and sisters, Eunice Law, and Virginia Gilliam.


A graveside service will be conducted at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at 2:00 P.M.; with Brother Tracy Carter officiating, and Dale Dorris will deliver the eulogy for his father.
Military Honors will be rendered by the Army Honor Guard, of Nashville, Tennessee.
