Dorothy Lee Dodson

Mrs. Dorothy Lee Ferguson Dodson, age 88, was born to the late Calvin and Nancy Jane Byrum Ferguson on September 14, 1922 in Monroe County, Kentucky. She departed this life on Wednesday, Aug. 10th, 2011 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services for Mrs. Dodson will be conducted Friday, August 12th, 2011 at 11AM from the Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Floyd Farris and Bro. Doyle Farris officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Cemetery, Gallatin, TN. The pallbearers will be the grandsons of Mrs. Dodson. The family will receive visitors on Thurs. Aug. 11th from 2PM-8PM and Fri. Aug. 12th from 9AM-service time.

Mrs. Dodson was a member of Phillippi Church of Christ. She was retired from Gary Shirt Company.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Nancy Jane Ferguson; her husband, Veachel T. Dodson; and her son, Jerrie T. Dodson.

She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn & (Barry) Oliver of Westmoreland; her sons, Joel & (Mary Lou) Dodson of Gallatin and Tommie & (Wanda) Dodson of Westmoreland; her sister, Frances Curtis of Covington, Ky; and her seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
