Douglas Blankenship

Elder Douglas Blankenship, age 79 of Westmoreland, TN, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017.

Funeral Services for Elder Blankenship will be conducted on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM from Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Ronald Delk and Bro. Chris Rippy officiating. Interment will follow in Old Macedonia Cemetery, Adolphus, KY .

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Woodard Funeral Home.

Elder Blankenship was a member of Old Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. He was saved at the age of 18 one hot June day while walking down the railroad track at Adolphus, KY. He preached his first sermon in March of 1973. He was retired from American General Insurance Company a sales agent.

Parents - Hubert and Norma Douglas Blankenship,
Brothers - Harry Dee, Jack, Joe, Wallace and Buster Crawford, Jimmie and Bennie Blankenship,
Sister - Lillian Shelton,
Grand Daughter - Jessica Crabtree

Wife of 57 years - Shirley Jean Gregory Blankenship, Westmoreland, TN
Son - Torre Blankenship, Bethpage, TN
Son - Van & (Shana) Blankenship, Portland, TN
Daughter - Jill & (Randy) Pedigo, Westmoreland, TN
Daughter - Tammy & (Randal) Carter, Scottsville, KY
Daughter - Tonya & (Craig) Woods, Red Boiling Springs, TN
Sister - Diane Cornwell, Scottsville, KY
Grand Children - Michael Pedigo, Kayla Graves & (Travis), Amanda Carter, Heather Sword &(Joey), Jared Blankenship, Shavanna Blankenship, Ivy Rose Blankenship and Tasha Emberton &(Shane),
As well as 6 great-grandchildren.
