Eunice Adams, age 93, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, in Gallatin, Tennessee. She was born April 20, 1929, in Franklin, Kentucky, to her parents Fred Coats and Myrtle Gilliam. She was married to Averitt Adams, for 36 years, until he departed. Eunice was a care taker. She gave birth to 4 children, but mothered many more. The Queen Bee, also had a career in health care, and worked as a private duty nurse for more than 27 years.
Eunice is survived by her son, Jimmy L. Adams; sister, Patsy Farley (Bobby); brother, Donald Escue; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and her dear friend, Jim Blake, who helped care for her.
In addition to her parents, Eunice is preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn J. (Adams) Hawkins; sons, Johnny R. Adams, Larry G. Adams; and two brothers, Robert Escue, and Billy Reese Escue.
The funeral service for Mrs. Eunice Adams will be held on Saturday, September, 17, 2022 at 11:00 A.M., from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home. Tony Escue will deliver the eulogy in tribute to her life. Visiting hours with the Adams' family will be held at Woodard Funeral Home, on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 5:00-8:00 P.M., and again on Saturday, September 17; which will begin at 9:00 A.M. and continue until service time, at 11:00 A.M..
Burial Is to follow immediately after services, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, in Westmoreland, Tennessee.
Dustin Padgett and Harold Hawkins ll, are to serve as honorary pall bearers; active pall bearers are expected to be Kaleb Hawkins, Robin Hawkins, Joseph Hawkins, Harold Hawkins lll, Justin Wills, and James Blake.
Pleasant Grove Cemetery is located 1508 Pleasant Grove Rd, Westmoreland, TN, 37186.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request that memorial donations be made in Eunice's name to assist with funeral expenses.
