Gayle Holmes

Gayle Holmes, age 64, of Westmoreland, TN, passed away December 15, 2024. She was born December 28, 1959 to Shepard Holmes and the late Mary Katherine Crook Holmes in Hartsville, TN.

In addition to her mother, Gayle was preceded in death by her grandparents, J.C. "Popcorn" and Reba Holmes and Hurley and Viola Crook; as well as her nephew, Jared Holmes and her niece, Mary Holmes.

She is survived by her children, Rachel (Jeff) Hesson, and Heather (Britt) Little; her grandchildren, Saige (Ray) McGee, Shyenne Hesson, Dylan Hesson, Ayden Little and Emma Little; her great grandchildren, Hesson Lee and Salem; her dad, Shep (Shirley) Holmes; her brothers, Rickie Holmes, Jamie (Angie) Holmes, Terry (Shelley) Holmes; and her sister, Loretta (Ricky) Cline.

Gayle was a Sumner County Court Deputy for many years.

Funeral services for Ms. Holmes will be conducted on Thursday, December 19th, 2024 at 1PM from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Brad Carver and Bro. Kyle Gammons officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Jeff Hesson, Britt Little, Dylan Hesson, Ayden Little, Jamie Holmes and Terry Holmes. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Rickie Holmes.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, December 18th from 11AM till 8PM and again on Thursday, December 19th from 9AM till service time at 1PM at Woodard Funeral Home.

The family has entrusted Woodard Funeral Home with the care of their loved one. "Serving you as we would like to be served."
