J. W. Thompson, Jr

Mr. J. W. Thompson, Jr, age 69 of Westmoreland, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Thurs. Feb. 24th @ 11AM from the Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Chase McCloud, Bro. Terrell Somerville and Bro. Jimmy Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Forrest Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kyle Rippy, Thomas Thompson, Richie Tuttle, Brian McCloud, T. J. Dawes and Casey Clark. The family will receive visitors on Tue. Feb. 22 from 6PM-9PM, Wed. 10AM-9PM and Thurs. 9AM-service time.

Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Washington and Annie Alice Shrum Thompson; his son, Timothy Devon Thompson; and his sister, Mary Lee Perrigo.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Kay McCloud Thompson of Westmoreland; his daughter, Debra Gaye Thompson Rippy of Bethpage; his sons, Jason Wayne Thompson and Joseph Warren Thompson both of Westmoreland; his sisters, Ruth Ford of Westmoreland, Betty King of Lafayette, Alice Owen of Red Boiling Springs and Shirley Kelley of Westmoreland; his brother, Jerry Wayne Thompson of Crossville; his five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and his children's mother, Virginia Bradley of Westmoreland.
