James Sadler

April 7, 1940 — October 3, 2021

Mr. James Sadler, age 81, of Westmoreland, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday October 3, 2021, while surrounded by loved ones.


James loved working in the outdoors. He was an avid beekeeper who spent many years logging trees, growing his gardens and tending to his animals. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends as well as listening to Bluegrass music.


He is survived by his wife of many years, Wanda Christine Sadler; his four children, Melvin (Teresa) Sadler, Marilyn (Ray) Reece, Janie (Jerry) Long and Judy (Barry) Hawkins; five grandchildren, Michael (Donna) Sadler, Christie (Craig) Coates, Beth (Travis) Callis, Shawn (Michelle) Bowers and Jerred (Hannah) Long; six great-grandchildren, Michelle Sadler, Jeremy Sadler, Carissa Coates, Cailey Coates, Braden Callis and Jenna Callis; two brothers, David Sadler and Billy (Denese) Sadler; and his long-time friend, Don Boze.


James was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis Moore and Lillie Mae "Polly" Sadler; and siblings, Robert Sadler, Louis "Buck" Sadler, Herbert Sadler, Frances Sadler and Wayne Sadler.


The service for Mr. James Sadler will be held on Thursday, October 7, at 12:00 PM at Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. David Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Sherron Cemetery.


Visitation: Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 1:00 - 8:00 PM and Thursday, Oct. 7, at 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Woodard Funeral Home.


The family request that those attending the visitation or funeral service to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
