Judy Anita Pruitt, age 74, was a Tennessee native born in Sewanee, but resided in Pansey, Alabama until her death December 22, 2020.
Mrs. Pruitt was born March 29, 1946 to the late Charles Floyd and Alma Long Gilliam. She was a homemaker and very active in the Mayhill Mission Church, and Union Springs Free Will Baptist Church, where she served as secretary and treasurer. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, and very tender hearted; she had a passion for helping anyone she could.
Mrs. Pruitt is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Freeman Pruitt; son, Craig Counts; granddaughter, Chanyl Cash; brothers, Floyd and Charles Gillam, and her great grandson, Austin Lynch.
Survivors include her children, Vickie (John) Crowder, Darrell Counts, Heath Counts, and Frieda Keen; grandchildren, Blayne (Lacey) Cash, David (Jaime) Cash, Samantha Prince, Darrell Counts, Mandy Counts; brother, Ernest (Bonnie) Gilliam; 16 great grandchildren.
Arrangements
Mrs. Judy Anita Pruitt will have a graveside service Tuesday, December 29, at 1 P.M. at Caldwell Cemetery, in Westmoreland, Tennessee.
