Larry Akins was my good friend. I always admired and respected him. We had a lot of fun when we were younger. He stopped by to see my mother when she was in the nursing home recovering from a broken leg, and she really appreciated that. He held a special place in my father's heart because of his military service and his positive attitude. There was only one Larry Akins, and he will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved him. May God be with the family in your time of need.
