Larry R. Shelton

Mr. Larry R. Shelton, at age 69, went to be in Heaven on August 26, 2011. Throughout his battle with cancer, he never gave up, only to receive an ultimate healing. He will enjoy seeing all the wonderful sights in Heaven. Throughout his life, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, dry-land fish hunting, antique cars, raising a garden and raising animals.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Shelton.

He leaves behind a totally devoted wife of 49 years, Janie Graves Shelton, who remained at his side throughout his sickness; Mother, Lillian Crawford Shelton; Son, Tim (Wendy) Shelton; Daughter, Jennifer Poland; 3 Grandchildren, Michael (Cailtlin) Delk, Corey Shelton, and Amanda Poland and a host of adopted brothers and sister and very close friends.

Mr. Shelton's funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, Aug. 28th @ 4PM from the Roberts Tabernacle Church with Bro. Richard Jones and Bro. Ricky Graves officiating. Interment will follow in Roberts Tabernacle Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Sat. Aug. 27th from 5PM-9PM and on Sun. Aug. 28th from 8AM-service time.

Mr. Shelton was a member of Roberts Tabernacle Church. He was retired from Unipress.
