Mary Ada Huntsman

Ms. Mary Ada Huntsman, age 98, of Westmoreland, TN, passed away December 5, 2024. She was born December 27, 1925 in Bethpage, TN to the late Louis Lowe and Mary Ada Shrum Mince.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Huntsman; her daughters, Patricia Blackwell, Twila Tucker; her sons, Billy Huntsman, James Glen Huntsman, Charles Huntsman, Earl Huntsman and Thomas Huntsman; her grandchildren, Cy Huntsman, and Michael Glen Blackwell; her great-grandchildren, Jonas Jones and Michael Keith Blackwell; her daughters-in-law, Stella Huntsman and Shirley Huntsman; as well as five siblings.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Sullivan; her grandchildren, Barbara Huntsman Jones, Tony (Cynthia) Blackwell, James Huntsman, Tonya (Tucker) Sawicki, Jason Tucker, Charles (Gigi) Huntsman, Josh (Brandy) Huntsman, Mary Ann (Jose) Diaz, John (Dione) Ward, and Benny Sullivan; her son-in-law, Jackie Tucker; her daughter-in-law, Ziona Huntsman; as well as 20 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Mary was saved at the age of 18 at New Hope Baptist Church and she was a long-time member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services for Ms. Huntsman will be conducted on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024 at 1PM from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Ronald Delk and Bro. Steve Johns officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, December 8th from 10AM-8PM, Monday, December 9th from 9AM -8PM and again on Tuesday, December 10th from 9AM till service time at 1PM at Woodard Funeral Home.

The family has entrusted Woodard Funeral Home with the care of their loved one.
