Rickie Dale Holmes

Rickie Dale Holmes, age 67, of Westmoreland, TN passed away April 10, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born February 15, 1958 to Shep Holmes and the late Katherine Crook Holmes in Hartsville, TN.

In addition to his mother, Rickie was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.C. “Popcorn” and Reba Holmes and Hurley and Viola Crook; the mother of his children, Patricia Holmes; his sister, Gayle Holmes; his nephew, Jared Holmes, and his niece, Mary Holmes.

He is survived by his children, Katrina (John) Breedlove and Shane (Victoria) Holmes; his grandchildren, Hannah (Evan) Stewart, Elly Breedlove, and Hailey Holmes; his father, Shep (Shirley) Holmes; his sister, Loretta (Ricky) Cline; and his brothers, Jamie (Angie) Holmes and Terry (Shelley) Holmes.

Funeral services for Rickie will be conducted on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 2PM from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. David Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Matt Brown, Jody Garrison, Jamie Holmes, Terry Holmes, Ronald Huntsman, and David McBroom. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be John Breedlove, Herman Hardin, Jaden Holmes, and Floyd Woodard.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, April 14th from 12PM till 8PM and again on Tuesday, April 15th from 10AM till service time at 2PM at Woodard Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, Rickie requested donations be made to Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Donations can be made at Woodard Funeral Home.
