Robert Earl Simpson

Robert Earl Simpson, age 72, of Westmoreland, TN, passed away on December 24, 2021. He was born in Sumner County, TN on April 19, 1949 to the late Wesley Chaney Simpson and Laura Williams Simpson.

Robert had the heart of a servant and spent his life loving and helping his family, friends and neighbors. His infectious smile and hug made everyone feel accepted. A gifted mechanic; resourceful and engineering, there was nothing he could not fix with a shot of ether, piece of old wire, duct tape or a few screws. He found satisfaction in making old things that had not worked in decades new again. He enjoyed anything outdoors but especially loved fishing and walking in the woods along creeks and springs.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sherron Simpson; his daughter, Tammy Ryna (Terry) Simpson Andrews; grandchildren, Justin (Nicole) Andrews and Chase Andrews; and his sister, Wanda Sadler. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Laura Simpson and his siblings, Leroy, Jr. Ray, Bill, James Carmack, Bob, Charles and Dorothy.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, December 31st from 2-3PM at Woodard Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted on Friday @3PM from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Andrews officiating.
