Ronald Eugene Smith

Mr. Ron Smith, age 74, of Westmoreland, TN, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. He was born on December 5, 1947 in Houston, TX to the late Evenia Eugene and Lola Louise Sherrouse Smith.

Mr. Smith was a United States Air force Veteran. He proudly served during the Vietnam Era and was an Air Force mechanic. He was a member of Lakeside Church of God of Prophecy. Music was an important part of his life. He was a songwriter and singer. He played the guitar and harmonica. He was also a Mason.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharron Thorton.

He is survived by his wife, Lillie Louise Crews Smith; his step-children, Teresa (Jimmy) Simmons, Debbie (Dale) Ellis, Lamar (Cindy) Weed, Michelle McMurtry and Erica Vaughn; his sisters, Sheila Odoms and Cindy Allen; as well as 14 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mr. Smith will be conducted on Monday, June 6th at 1PM from Lakeside Church of God with Bro. Chris Weathers and Bro. Brian Morgan officiating. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, June 5th from 4PM-8PM at Woodard Funeral Home and on Monday, June 6th from 9AM-service time at 1PM at Lakeside Church of God. The interment will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Lafayette, TN.
