Ruth Clark Woodard

Ms. Ruth Clark Woodard, age 94, of Westmoreland, TN, passed away on November 6, 2022. She was born November 21, 1927 to the late Johnny and Willie Vance Sloan in Macon County, TN.

Ms. Woodard was the co-owner of C & C Sportswear in Westmoreland, TN. She was a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church. She was member of the Eastern Star, Red Hats and Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her first husband, Fred Clark; her second husband, Charles Woodard; her son, Phillip Sloan Clark; her brothers, Dean, Ray, Billy, Bobby and Joe Sloan; her sisters, Amelia and June Sloan, Peggy Freeman, Kathleen Christian, and Sue Williams; and daughter-in-law, Carol Clark.

She is survived by her sons, Judson Clark, and Mark (Pam) Clark; her daughter, Karen (Melvgn) Luhrs; her step-son, Danny (Jackie) Woodard; her daughter-in-law, Vickie Clark; as well as 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Ms. Woodard will be conducted on Wednesday, November 9th at 12PM from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Dyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Grove Cemetery, Hartsville, TN. Serving as active pallbearers will be Jared Clark, Michael Clark, Jason Clark, Shawn Luhrs, Anthony Luhrs, Josh Luhrs, Todd Christian and Landon Clark. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, November 8th from 1PM - 8PM and again on Wednesday, November 9th from 9AM - service time at 12PM at Woodard Funeral Home.
