Shirley Dean Emmert

Mrs. Shirley Dean Emmert, age 75, of Westmoreland, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021. She was born on February 12, 1946, in Akersville, Kentucky, to the late William and Laurene Shockley.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Clinton Emmert (Cynthia) and John Emmert; granddaughter, Caitlin Emmert Delk (Michael); nephew, Derek Shockley (Aimee); step daughters, Brenda McDonald (Keith), Kathy Birdwell (Robert), and Glenda (Mark) Tirjan; along with a host of loving family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Luther C. Emmert; her son, Gene Emmert; and sister, Kay Shockley.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday, July 11, from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM, from the Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home.

No visitation will be prior to a graveside service for Mrs. Emmert, which will be conducted on Monday, July 12, at 4:00 PM from Whitley Cemetery, in Red Boiling Springs; with her nephew, Derek Shockley delivering the eulogy.
